SCHEDULE
High SchoolDaily Schedule & D
ays 1-6School starts at 7:30am and ends at 2:15pm. There are nine periods of 41 minutes in the school day. On your schedule there are days, periods, room numbers and teacher names. You should check your schedule for each class that you have. You should know what days you have class or what days you have off, and where your classes are. When you look at your schedule, you will see the room number like "235." That means the room is on the second floor. 1xx means first floor, 2xx means second floor, and 3xx means third floor. Our District school days are numbered one through six. For example, if your schedule shows "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6" next to the subject, that means you have that class every day. Or, if your schedule shows "1, 3, 5" next to your subject, that means you have that class on days 1, 3 and 5. Absences If you can't come to school, your parent/guardian must call the Attendance Office (516-992-1312). If your parent/guardian can't speak English, you can write a note for them to sign and give it to the Attendance Office when you return to school. Lateness If you are late for school in the morning, you do not need a pass if you get to class by 7:45am. After that, you must go to the Attendance Office to sign in, and they will give you a late pass to take to your teacher. If you know will be late for any other classes, please ask the teacher of the class you are leaving for a late pass. Free Periods If you do not have a scheduled class on a particular day, that period is "free." During free periods, you are allowed to go to four places: the learning center to get extra help, or the computer lab (111 or 204), or the library, or the cafeteria. |
