High SchoolSports
At Calhoun, there are many sports which you can play after school. There are three seasons: fall (August through November), winter (November through February), and spring (March through May). Different sports are played each season. If you want to play a sport, you need to have a physical examination from a doctor, and you need parent permission. To prove these things, you need to fill out the "sports candidate forms" which are available through the District website. Here are a list of some available sports: Fall: volleyball, soccer, American football, girls tennis, cheerleading, kickline Winter: wrestling, basketball Spring: badminton, lacrosse, softball, baseball, boys tennis, bowling, golf Clubs Clubs are a good way to get involved and meet new friends. Clubs are also a good experience to prepare for college because universities like it when you are very involved in a lot of different things. Clubs meet usually once a week after school. In these clubs, you can meet new friends, and express your ideas with the other members and teachers. There are many clubs in the school. Some clubs are particularly good for English Language Learners, such as the International Buddy Club, the World of Difference Club, Art Club, Science Club, and others. Middle SchoolSports

There are four seasons: fall (September through November), winter 1 (November through January), winter 2 (January through March) and spring (April through May). Different sports are played each season. If you want to play a sport, you need to have a physical examination from a doctor, and you need parent permission. Here are a list of some available sports: Fall: Boy's Cross Country (7th & 8th grade), Boy's Soccer (7th & 8th grade), Cheerleading, Football (7th & 8th grade), Girl's Cross Country (7th & 8th grade), Girl's Soccer (7th & 8th grade), Intramurals, Kickline (8th grade) and Tennis (8th grade boys).
